Box Score Bloomsburg, Pa. - Millersville for the majority of Saturday's game at Bloomsburg, but in the final minute, Nnamdi Njoku scored off of a steal to give the Huskies a one-point lead and the eventual 72-71 win.
Millersville (9-17, 7-15 PSAC) took a 71-68 lead on a
Larry Grant 3-pointer with 1:25 remaining in the game. But Millersville would not score again. Larry Webster got Bloomsburg (19-8, 15-7 PSAC) one by making 1-of-2 free throws. Millersville would go on to commit four turnovers in the final 1:06.
Njoku took full advantage of the a turnover with 43 seconds to go, converting it for two points and the Bloomsburg lead. Millersville's next possession came up empty but hopes were kept alive when Njoku missed back-to-back free throws and after an offense rebound,
Demond Vance stole the ball away from Webster.
Millersville had once last chance with four seconds left, but
Mike Seibert's 3-pointer didn't go down.
Larry Grant had a chance for a putback, but it also missed.
Millersville shot 42.6 percent from the field and had four players score in double figures, but the team committed 20 turnovers.
Elijah Obade led the team with 16 points. Vance and
Anthony Coleman each scored 14. Vance led the team with six assists.
The Marauders opened the game with a 9-0 run and led by as many as 10 in the first half before Bloomsburg cut it to a 39-35 Millersville edge at the break. The Huskies didn't take a lead until 16:54 left in the game at 46-45. In the second half alone, the lead changed hands six times and the score was tied seven times.
Bloomsburg advances to the PSAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed from the Eastern Division.
