
Swimming Tops Juniata to Stay Unbeaten

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's swimming team remained undefeated all-time against Juniata and perfect on the season after defeating the Eagles 122-73 on Saturday afternoon.
Millersville won all but three of the meet's events and took the first four events of the meet. Sarah Bernhardt and Arielle Walbert each won two individual races as the Marauders improved to 2-0 on the season and 11-0 against Juniata.
The meet started with the 400-yard medley relay and Millersville's team of Brigid Kavanaugh, Jade Wise, Sarah Bernhardt, and Jes Del Monaco finished in a time of 4:13.12. The second place team of Ashley Kichline, Adriana Rodriguez, Grace Magerr, and Amanda Thomas finished with a 4:19.37 finish.
Later in the meet Thomas went on to notch a PSAC qualifying time in the 200-yard freestyle with a finish of 2:02.17.
In the next event, Bernhardt also qualified for the PSAC's with a 50-yard freestyle mark of 24.94. Bernhardt later recorded another PSAC qualifying time in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.83--four seconds faster than the second place finisher.
Juniata junior Hillary Palmer won the 200-yard IM medley with a time of 2:22.96. The Eagle's also claimed the final event of the day in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:54.93.
Millersville travels to California (Pa.) next Saturday, Nov. 3 to take on CalU and Gannon in a tri-meet. The meet is set to start at 2 p.m.
