Box Score Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's soccer team matched a program record record with five ties in a season after drawing with IUP 0-0 Wednesday evening.
Olivia Webber notched her third double-digit save performance of the season with 11 saves. It was also Webber's third shutout of the season.
Megan Kelley,
Lindsay Wilson, and
Sara Cressman each totaled two shots in the game. The Marauders totaled eight as a team. Millersville's record moved to 4-8-5 overall and 1-8-4 in the PSAC.
Indiana (Pa.) (8-5-4, 5-5-3) totaled 29 shots, but only managed to keep 11 of them on the goal frame. Crimson Hawk leading scorer Brittany Kuhns led the way with eight shots. Goalkeeper Mara Kricik kept Millersville off the board with four saves.
Both teams had plenty of opportunities to score but neither could broke through in regulation. After IUP controlled play for the first 90 minutes, the Marauders dominated the first overtime period. Webber and Hricik each made important saves to keep the other team from scoring.
The best scoring chance in the game came with only 90 seconds to play. IUP took two shots in the span of five seconds. The first bounced off the crossbar and the second deflected off the post.
Millersville recorded five ties in a season only once before. That was in 2005 when the program went 3-11-5.
The Marauders aim to win their final game of the season when they host West Chester on Saturday, Oct 27. Game time is slated for 3:30 p.m. on Chryst Field at Biemsderfer Stadium.
