Charleston, W.Va. - The Millersville men's tennis team strengthen its NCAA Tournament resume´ with a 5-4 win at Charleston Friday.
The Marauders, now 11-5, entered the match ranked No. 9 in the NCAA Atlantic Regional rankings, and Charleston ranked No. 8.
Millersville squeaked past Charleston with two doubles wins and three singles wins.
Preetham Moras and
Drew Slocum picked up an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, and
Henry Ben and
Ryan Knarr won the second point with an 8-3 win at No. 3 flight.
Henry also scored a key point for the Marauders at No. 6 singles. Moras took a three-set match against Samuel Humphrey in the top spot, and
Tyler Reppert won 6-2, 7-6 at No. 4 singles.
Millersville faces West Liberty Saturday in another key regional bout.
