Millersville, Pa. - Four Millersville men's tennis players played their final matches at McComsey Tennis Courts Sunday, and they made sure the day was memorable. The Marauders improved 9-5 with a 5-4 win over University of the Sciences.
Millersville won four of the six singles matches to rally for the win. USP (7-5) took an early lead with two doubles wins. Millersville's top team of
Drew Slocum and
Preetham Moras defeated David Zazakevich and Alvaro Vargs by an 8-2 score for Millersville's lone point.
Moras continued the success in singles, defeating Vargas, 6-1, 6-1. Donald Swankto picked up a win in the No. 3 spot, and
Henry Ben registered a 7-5, 6-3 win over Bill Fine in the No. 4 flight.
Corey Garnier, playing just his fourth match this year, improved to 3-1 with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Chris Lukose.
The dual was Millersville's third in the last four days, and the team travels to West Chester for a PSAC match-up Monday afternoon.
