Millersville, Pa. - Any postseason hopes Millersville men's basketball team had were crushed Wednesday evening when Shippensburg invaded Pucillo Gymnasium and handed the Marauders a 75-69 defeat.
Millersville (10-14, 5-8 PSAC East) fell behind by nine points in the first 4:23 and never recovered. Shippensburg (9-16, 4-9 PSAC East) shot 49 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from 3-point range. Millersville trailed just 35-32 at the half, but the Raider offense eviscerated the Millersville defense in the second half by drilling 60.9 percent of its shots.
Four Raiders scored in double figures and the hottest hand was Jaren Gembe's. The senior scored a game-high 17 points and hit 3-of-5 from deep. Millersville also had four players score in double figures. Freshman
Mike Holley earned team-high honors with 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting.
Millersville never trailed by more than nine but looked up at the Raiders for more than 38 minutes of the game. With 12:28 left in the second half,
Mike Seibert scored his only field goal of the game to cut Shippensburg's lead to 49-48. The Raiders, however, immediately scored four-straight points to extend the lead back to five. From there, the Marauders would never get closer than three.

Jaymes Miller added 13 points for the Marauders. Classmate
Anthony Coleman scored a career-high 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 shooting from the line. Senior
Bernard Brown, playing his final game in Pucillo Gymnasium, tallied 12 points and eight rebounds. He also blocked the 148th shot of his career, moving him into a tie with Jamal Palmer for third in Millersville history.
Millersville travels to Kutztown Saturday for the season finale. Game time is 3 p.m.
