Results

Millersville, Pa. - Kelsey Waite stayed perfect on the season, but the Millersville women's tennis team could handle visiting Clarion in a 6-3 loss Friday afternoon.

Waite improved to 3-0 at No. 4 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Madeline Robinson. Elizabeth Wagner , who defeated Brittany Buchheit# 7-6, 6-2 in the No. 5 flight, picked up Millersville's second point in singles competition.

Clarion, however, took the other four matches with dropping a set.

In doubles, the Marauders' No. 1 team of Melissa Plowman and Samantha Prager topped Jaclyn Metzger and Lauren Zezenski by an 8-3 score. That win, however, was all the Marauders could manage. Wagner and Waite were nipped, 8-6, and Shauna Powers and Alexandra Heller were edge, 9-7.

Millersville fell to 1-2 on the season with the loss.
