ABOUT THE GAMES
· Following a long and difficult four-game road swing, the Millersville Marauders return to the friendly confines of Pucillo Gymnasium for a pair of PSAC crossover games this weekend against Lock Haven and Edinboro. The Marauders dropped four in a row on the road but is 3-1 at home this season. During Fred Thompson's career, the Marauders are 124-51 at home. The team is also 44-24 against the PSAC Western Division under Thompson.
· While the Marauders struggled recently, newcomer Demond Vance has emerged into a go-to offensive threat. . He has scored at least 17 points in his last three games and in four of his last five. He is averaging a team-high 15.4 points per game over his last five games. He's scoring efficiently as well. Vance is shooting 46.2 percent from the field and is third on the team with five 3-pointers. Not only is he scoring, he's also distributing the ball. After totaling just three assists in his first six games, Vance has nine in his last three games.
· Millersville has history on its side this weekend. The Marauders have won nine in a row against Lock Haven and 52 of 68 meetings. In the season opener, the Marauders rolled to a 77-60 win over the Bald Eagles behind 19 points from Mike Holley. Millersville is 13-5 all-time against Edinboro. The two clubs have not met since Millersville's 64-61 win in the first round of the 2008 NCAA East Regional.
· Millersville enters the weekend ranked 15th in the PSAC in scoring offense but should be able to improve that standing. Lock Haven is last in the league in scoring defense and Edinboro ranks just one notch higher. Millersville's leading scorer, Demond Vance, is ranked 30th in the league in scoring. Only two Marauders (Mike Holley being the other) are averaging double figures. However, four different players have led Millersville in scoring this year, displaying that the offense can be balanced and effective. Millersville will need Mike Seibert to get out of his recent slump. He scored a career-high 28 points at Goldey-Beacom on Dec. 13, but in the three games since, the junior is averaging just 6.3 points per game and has made 3-of-20 (.150) from 3-point range and 7-of-27 (.259) from the field.
· Millersville has been taking care of the basketball this year. The team is averaging just 15.1 turnovers per game. It has committed fewer turnovers than its opponent in all but one game. In its most recent game, Millersville committed a season-low seven turnovers. That was the fewest turnovers by a Millersville team since committing six against Edinboro in the 2008 NCAA East Regional.

ABOUT LOCK HAVEN
· Lock Haven has struggled mightily out of the gate this year. Its offense lacks firepower and its shows with the team having eight losses in the first nine games. Lock Haven ranks 16th in the PSAC in scoring offense with 54.9 points per game. It is the only team scoring fewer than 66 points per game. It also ranks 16th in scoring defense, allowing 84.6 points per game--12.5 more per game than any other team in the league. Lock Haven has not scored more than 68 points in a game all year, and that effort ended in a 20-point defeat to Cheyney. Another issue is taking care of the ball. Lock Haven has 186 turnovers compared to just 90 assists.

ABOUT EDINBORO
· Edinboro plays an up-tempo pace, scoring 80.0 points per game, which ranks third in the PSAC. Despite scoring plenty of points, the Fighting Scots rank 14th in shooting percentage (.418) and 13th in 3-point field goal percentage (.283). They offset the low percentages by hoisting more shots than anyone in the PSAC. The Fighting Scots have attempted 797 shots--287 more than Millersville--and have fired 240 3-pointers. The Fighting Scots are one of only two teams in the league (Lock Haven is the other) that is attempted more than 210 3-pointers this year. Five Fighting Scots averaged double figure points per game. Corey Somerville leads the way with 13.1 points per game. Anthony Lyle nearly averages a double-double with 10.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
