Box Score

East Stroudsburg, Pa. -
Trailing by as many as 19 points in the first half, Millersville returned fire and even took a momentary second-half lead. But the comeback ultimately fell short as homestanding East Stroudsburg used timely scoring in the final minutes to preserve a 76-70 win.

East Stroudsburg (10-8, 3-3 PSAC East) raced to a 9-0 lead and opened a 33-14 advantage with 9:52 remaining in the first period. The Marauders (7-10, 2-4 PSAC East), were sparked by Mike Seibert's 10 first half points and finished the final 6:26 on a 17-5 run.

Millersville remained with striking distance, and with 10:06 to go in the game, Jim Kelleher came off the bench and drilled two-straight 3-pointers, giving Millersville its first lead at 57-56. The lead changed hands twice more before a Mike Tobin layup and Duane Johnson score put ESU up 63-59 with 6:38 to go. The Marauders pulled within one score three more times, but East Stroudsburg made its final three shots from the floor and converted 5-of-7 free throws in the final minutes to pull away.

East Stroudsburg avoided its second home loss in as many days with the win and kept the Marauders winless on the road (0-7) in the process. ESU shot 46.8 percent from the field. Millersville hit 38.8 percent but sank 26-of-36 free throws. Four Marauders scored in double figures. Kelleher led the way with 15 points in 17 minutes. Jaymes Miller and Demond Vance both scored 11 and Seibert added 10 and four steals.
