Results vs. Dowling

Bloomsburg, Pa. - The Millersville men's tennis team ran into stiff competition Saturday in Bloomsburg, Pa., and dropped a PSAC match to Bloomsburg and a non-conference match to Dowling.

Bloomsburg, the PSAC front-runner with a 4-0 conference mark, handed Millersville a 7-2 loss. Dowling, which is 5-3 on the season, defeated the Marauders by a 5-4 score for the second year in a row.

Millersville (4-8, 2-3 PSAC) picked up two points against the Huskies thanks to Donald Swantko. Swantko earned a singles win in the No. 5 spot by defeating Brandon Cummings, 7-5, 6-0. He also teamed with Henry Ben at No. 3 doubles and won 8-2 over Jack McClurkin and Alan Hummel.

Against Dowling, the top of the lineup was the difference. Dowling won the No. 1 through No. 3 singles and the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches. Swantko and Ben paired for another Millersville doubles victory, and Ben (No. 4), Swantko (No. 5) and Colton Brown (No. 6) each scored singles victories.

The match with Bloomsburg completed PSAC play for the Marauders. They play a pair of key regional matches against Charleston and West Liberty on April 17 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
