Box Score

East Stroudsburg, Pa. – The No. 8 Millersville men's soccer team traveled to East Stroudsburg for a chance to return to the PSAC Championship game for the third time in as many years. The Marauders were unable to advance as they were defeated at Eiler-Martin Stadium for the second time this season. The Warriors came away with a 1-0 victory Wednesday evening to advance to the finals.

In the first session Millersville (11-5-2) and East Stroudsburg (13-6) put on a defensive show with both squads allowing just one shot on goal of off three shots each. The Warriors' only shot on goal in the first turned out to be one that meant the most.

In the waning minutes of the half, East Stroudsburg fired its first shot on goal of the game and it turned into the game winner. It was in the 44th minute when the Warriors' leading scorer Shastri Spencer found teammate Kevin Lombardo to give East Stroudsburg a 1-0 lead into the half.

The Marauders came out inspired in the second session recording an 8-4 edge in shots over the Warriors. Millersville also held a 7-2 advantage in corner attempts. Even with plenty of opportunities the Marauders were unable to solve East Stroudsburg goalkeeper Troy Hernandez.

Hernandez finished the evening with three saves to help the Warriors advance to the PSAC Championship game.

East Stroudsburg will travel to Shippensburg Saturday evening to take on the Red Raiders and play for the tournament crown. Shippensburg defeated Slippery Rock in the other PSAC Semifinal this evening by a score of 5-0.

The Marauders who currently sit at No. 2 in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Poll will have to wait until Monday, Nov. 8 to find out if their season will continue when the NCAA Division II Tournament Selection Committee determines the field. Selections will be announced at 7 p.m. Eastern time via a webcast selection show at NCAA.com.
