MARAUDERS' POST-SEASON SUCCESS
Millersville is entering its fourth-straight PSAC Tournament under head coach Steve Widdowson.

2007
Three years ago the Marauders made a surprise trip to PSAC Tournament as the third seed in Widdowson's first season but fell in the semifinals to Lock Haven, 3-0.

2008
Millersville was able to rebound the following season by earning the PSAC Eastern Division Championship and No. 1 seed in the tournament with a 15-2 regular season record. As the NSCAA No. 5, the Marauders were able to take down No. 15 East Stroudsburg 3-2 in double overtime. Millersville would fall in the PSAC Championship match to California (Pa.) 3-2 but would get redemption six days later when the Marauders took down the Vulcans 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Millersville went on to beat Slipper Rock in the Atlantic Regional Final by a score of 1-0.

The Marauders faced No. 10 Northern Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals(Elite-8) in a match that needed penalty kicks to decide a winner. After a 1-1 draw through two sessions and an overtime the Norse would advance with a 5-4 decision in PK's. Millersville finished the season ranked No. 6 in the NSCAA final poll.

2009
For the second year in a row Millersville headed to the PSAC Championship match after taking down Bloomsburg, 4-0 in the semis. Millersville also captured its second-straight PSAC regular season championship. The Marauders would earn the NSCAA No. 1 ranking for the first time in school history.

Millersville faced No. 12 Slippery Rock in the PSAC Championship game, but for the second time in as many years was unable to take the crown as it fell, 2-1.

The Marauders would reach the NCAA tournament  in consecutive years but were unable to escape the first round as they fell to No. 14 Charleston, 2-0. Millersville finished the season ranked No. 17 in the NSCAA final poll.

ABOUT THE SERIES
East Stroudsburg has had the Marauders' number since they started playing in 1960, but since head coach Steve Widdowson took over the helm at Millersville, it has been a different story.

Since Widdowson's debut in 2007, the Marauders have posted a 6-2 record over the Warriors, including a 1-0 mark in PSAC Tournament play.

In the past three years and including the contest earlier this season, Millersville has outscored East Stroudsburg by a margin of 18-9.

The two teams only met once this year with the new alignment of the conference. The Warriors came away with a 3-2 victory in overtime at home earlier this season.

Since 2007, the Marauders are 4-1 at Eiler-Martin Stadium with their only loss there coming this season.
