Millersville, Pa. — The Millersville women's tennis team fought valiantly, but failed to win a single set in its 9-0 loss to the Bloomsburg Huskies.

There was little for the Marauders (7-10, 1-3 PSAC East) to smile about Wednesday as the Huskies (4-0, 10-3 PSAC East), ranked fourth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region, took 96 of the 122 games played and won all six singles matches and all three doubles matches. Millersville mustered just 26 game wins in the 9 matches played.

The only Marauder to win more than four games in her singles match was Samantha Souders, who lost to her opponent, 6-2, 6-4.

Millersville faces another tough opponent Saturday at 11 a.m., when the team takes on the Mercyhurst Lakers at the McComsey Tennis Courts.
