Slippery Rock, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team fell by an 8-1 score at Slippery Rock Sunday afternoon.

Slippery Rock swept the doubles matches and nearly took the singles as well. Samantha Souders, however, registered a point for the Marauders by defeating Kelly Stenger 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

Millersville dopped to 6-7 overall while Slippery Rock improved to an impressive 14-2.

Millersville takes on its first PSAC Eastern Division opponent of the 2009 campaign Tuesday when it travels to East Stroudsburg.
