Women's Soccer Plays to Draw with No. 6 West Chester

Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville University women's soccer team ended a six-game losing streak Tuesday evening after playing to a 0-0 tie in double overtime against nationally-ranked West Chester at Biemesderfer Stadium.

Millersville (4-8-1, 1-5-1 PSAC East) played its' second-straight double overtime contest and fourth overtime contest in their last six games.  West Chester (9-0-2, 6-0-1 PSAC East), currently ranked sixth in division II, outshot Millersville by a 15-7 margin but could not find the back of the net in the contest.

Marauder goalkeeper Jaime Lancaster stopped five shots and held the unbeaten Golden Rams scoreless for the first time this season.  The Rams have been held to under two goals only twice this season, both of them coming against the Marauders.  West Chester defeated Millersville in their first matchup back on September 3 by a 1-0 margin.

Millersville will travel to Mansfield on Saturday, October 11, for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division matchup with the Mountaineers beginning at 1:30 p.m.  Millersville defeated Mansfield in the two teams first matchup back on September 9 at Biemesderfer Stadium, 3-2.
