Sarah Bertoni went 2-1 over the past week in leading the Marauders to a 4-2 record and a 2-2 mark in PSAC East action. Out of three starts, she pitched two complete games with a 1.06 ERA, dropping her season ERA to just. 0.93. On Thursday against Lincoln (Pa.), Bertoni was part of the second no-hitter of her career, making her the only pitcher in program history to do so. Also as the winning pitcher and part of a combined shutout in that game, her seventh of the year, she set the school record for shutouts in a career with her 10th as just a sophomore. On Saturday, she nearly single-handedly delivered the Marauders a win in a game the team had to have, sending Shippensburg to its first PSAC East loss of the season. Not only did she go 2-for-2 at the plate and score the eventual winning run, but she hurled a complete game, allowing just one unearned run on five hits while striking out a career-best 11 batters.
