Ryan Gehman

Ryan Gehman is an accomplished collegiate runner. While competing in college he was a 2 time individual cross country national qualifier. Running for Eastern Mennonite University, he was a three-time All-ODAC First-Team finisher and a two-time Regional medalist. In 2014, he won the individual title in the South Southeast Regional XC Championship Race and was named the Regional Athlete of the Year. He also holds the school's 8K Cross Country Record with a time of 24:15.
Post-collegiately, Gehman spent 5 summers training with and learning from the Mammoth Track Club, an elite Asics distance running group in California led by Olympic Bronze medalist Deana Kaster and her husband Andrew. He has also worked with Shane Benzie, a world-leading form and mechanics coach out of England.
Gehman has raced 4 marathons to date, culminating in placing 103rd overall at the 2023 Boston Marathon with a finishing time of 2:27:31. Ryan continues to train as he strives to realize his dream of qualifying for the 2028 Olympic Marathon Trials.
Gehman has coached five track and two cross country seasons at Lancaster Mennonite High School, during which he had multiple athletes place at Leagues, Districts and States including six state qualifiers, two state medalists, 20 individual district qualifiers, two team qualifiers, and 17 medalists, including a district champion and a runner up.
Gehman also served as the head cross country coach at Lancaster Bible College from 2017-2019. In just two short years, he led the men's team to the NEAC championship title and was named the Conference Coach of the Year. Over his time there, he had 16 All-Conference runners, two conference champions, two Rookies of the year, and three conference runners-up.
Gehman is a certified personal trainer and USATF Level 1 coach. He has an immense passion for distance running and loves using his knowledge and experience to help other's reach their full potential.
