Amy Beard joined the women's lacrosse team as an assistant coach prior to the start of the 2019 season. She brings seven years of experience coaching both lacrosse and field hockey at various levels, including serving as both a head coach and an assistant for four years at the high school level.
Prior to her arrival at Millersville, Beard served as the assistant coach for the Penn Manor High School varsity women's lacrosse team. She was also the head coach at Rising Sun High School from 2007-08 and in 2011.Â
Beard also brings playing experience, competing in lacrosse and field hockey at Indiana University (Pa.). She graduated with her bachelors of science in health and physical education from Indiana in 2004.Â
A Lancaster native, Beard currently teaches at Lampeter-Strasburg and enjoys being a part of the Millersville lacrosse team.Â
