Rod Holder

Rod Holder joined the staff as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator prior to the 2016 season.

Holder serves as the team's offensive line coach and run game coordinator.

Holder, who was a member of two national championship teams at the University of Miami from 1986-1990, brought 14 years of Division I experience to the Marauders. His previous collegiate stop was nine years as the offensive line coach and assistant head coach at Norfolk State. Holder also coached the offensive line at Rutgers (2004-05) and Western Illinois (2002-04).

Holder made stops as the graduate assistant at Illinois, served as the running backs coach at Bentley and as a graduate assistant offensive line coach at his alma mater in 2001-02, winning a national championship with the 2001 team. He also coached a season with the Chicago Enforcers of the XFL and spent the early years of his career coaching the offensive line in three Miami high schools.

Holder was the starting center for the 1987 national championship team at Miami and started more than 20 career games. After graduating from Miami in 1990, Holder went on to play two seasons for the New York/New Jersey Knights of the World League of American Football. He earned a master's degree from the University of Illinois in 1999.
