Mike Shinkus enters his second season as Millersville's defensive line coach and his fourth season overall with the Marauders in 2024.
Shinkus first served as an assistant defensive line coach at Millersville in 2020 and 2021 while earning a degree in occupational safety and environmental health. Shinkus then coached the 2022 season as Franklin & Marshall's outside linebackers coach before returning to Millersville. While at F&M, two of his linebackers earned All-Centennial Conference honors.
Under Shinkus' direction, Millersville's defensive line helped the defense rank fifth in the PSAC in sacks in 2023. He helped defensive end Randy Okungu earn All-PSAC East honors.
Before entering the coaching ranks, Shinkus served six years in the United States Navy. Shinkus played linebacker at Kutztown from 2012-14.
