Matt Kelleher


Matt Kelleher joined Millersville as the offensive line coach in 2019. Kelleher, a 2007 graduate of Elon University, has built a successful career coaching the offensive line and tight ends at the Division II and Division III levels. 

He has quickly made a significant impact at Millersville. In 2022, Millersville saw a dramatic turnaround in its run game which helped the team win five of its final seven games. Kelleher's line paved the way for All-PSAC East running back Jaheim Morris and the run game finished the season averaging 132.8 yards per game--the best at Millersville since 2008. 

 A native of Columbus, Ohio, Kelleher comes to Millersville after a season at Malone, which played Millersville in the 2018 season. Prior to Malone, Kelleher coached the offensive line and served as the recruiting and academic coordinator at Maryville, and was the tight ends coach for Ohio Dominican and spent three years at Division III Capital as the offensive line/tight ends coach, run-game coordinator and recruiting coordinator. He helped Capital produce at top 25 rushing offense in all three seasons, including a No. 7 ranking in 2014. In 2015, Capital ranked sixth nationally in rushing and broke the school's all-time rushing record. 

 Kelleher served as an assistant coach (2007-10) and assistant head coach (2011-12) at Brevard College (N.C.), during which time they competed as a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC). Kelleher served in a number of different roles at Brevard, including tight ends coach and defensive quality control manager (2007-08), running backs coach (2008) and offensive line coach (2009-12). During his time at Brevard, Kelleher mentored five different All-SAC offensive linemen as the Tornados’ offense ranked in the top-15 in the nation in rushing in each season from 2010-12. In 2008, the team made the largest turnaround in win-loss record in all of NCAA Division II.

Kelleher was a four-year player for Elon. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology. Matt's wife, Stacy, is the director of production with the Philadelphia Eagles.
