'Ville continues to medal in day two of PSACs

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Millersville University women's track and field team competed in several preliminary races on day two of the PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, while also wrapping up the heptathlon and contesting finals in the long jump and discus. Freshman Ava Wilson led the Marauders in the heptathlon with a sixth-place finish, while Sarah Hessler delivered a standout performance in the field, placing third in the discus. Kiersten Lloyd also had a standout day as she finished third in the steeplechase.

Notable Results
- After completing the remainder of the heptathlon events Ava Wilson found herself on the podium in sixth place after running a 2:23.27 in the 800-meter run.
- Sarah Hessler grabs the Marauder's third medal of the weekend earning third in the discus.
- The 4X100 relay squad qualified for finals with a 48.47.
- Katelyn Murphy qualified for the final in the 100-meter hurdles.
- In the 400-meter dash, Milan Snell qualified for the finals with a second place time of 56.46. Shelby Derkosh just missed the cutoff with a time of 57.99.
- Kiersten Lloyd ran a 11:32.22 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for a third place finish.
