
Baumgardner sets new pool record in last chance meet

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville University women's swimming team competed in a final tune-up meet before traveling to York, Pa. for the PSAC Championships. The meet was highlighted by a record-breaking performance from Hannah Baumgardner, who set a new pool record in the 1,650-meter freestyle with a time of 17:51.89. Jillian Fidelman also turned in a strong showing, recording a personal-best time in the 200-meter freestyle.
The Marauders competed in five total events on the day. Baumgardner eclipsed the previous pool record of 17:56.17 in the 1,650-meter freestyle, while Fidelman posted a personal-best 2:06.03 in the 200-meter freestyle. Sydney Brown added a 2:22.79 effort in the 200-meter butterfly.
In sprint events, Fidelman and Molly Kawash touched the wall in 27.69 and 30.94, respectively, in the 50-meter freestyle. Brown and Kawash also competed in the 100-meter butterfly, finishing in 1:08.20 and 1:15.69.
