Marauders land No. 10 on Week 1 NFHCA Coaches Poll

| By:

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The Marauders were ranked No. 10 on the Week 1 NFHCA Coaches Poll released on Tuesday morning.

Millersville sits at 3–1 after two weeks of competition and has earned big wins over the likes of American International, Mercy, and Pace University. Millersville's offense has been on fire through four games with 17 goals, which falls just short of nearly four goals per game. The Marauders are out shooting opponents 94–32 on the year, with 72% of their shots being put on goal. While Millersville's offense has been highlighted heavily, the defense has also been stout in the early goings of the year. The Marauders allow an average of just one goal per game and only concede eight shots per game. Millersville's only loss on the year came courtesy of a last-second goal by Assumption University to lift them over the Marauders, 2–1.

Great defense partnered with a blazing-hot offense is the type of recipe that will land you on a nationally ranked list. The Marauders will look to stay hot and take on No. 3–ranked East Stroudsburg Thursday night, in a battle of heavyweights.
