Eight Marauders earn USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region honors

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Eight Millersville University track and field athletes totaled 11 USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region honors for their event performances during the 2025 outdoor season.
Millersville's honorees included Maddy Downs in the hammer throw and discus, Sarah Hessler in the hammer throw and discus, Seya Trujillo in the hammer, Megan Malecki in the pole vault, Jillian Sydnor in the 400-meter dash, and the 4x400-meter relay team comprised of Sydnor, Aubrey Sydnor, Milan Snell and Shelby Derkosh.
Downs is now a two-time all-region honoree in the hammer (2024) and the discus (2023). Downs ranked fourth in the region in the discus with a toss of 152-6. She also ranked fourth in the hammer throw at 168-4. Downs was the PSAC champ in the discus and runner-up in the hammer.
Hessler picked up her second all-region honor in the discus. She was All-PSAC in both the hammer and discus. She ranked third in the region in the hammer (174-0) and third in the discus (152-11). Trujillo's recognition in the hammer is the second of her career. Her season best of 166-2 was registered at the Bison Outdoor Classic in April.
Malecki is a two-time all-region selection in the pole vault. Malecki ranked second in the region by clearing 12-5 1/2 at West Chester on May 2. She finished third at the PSAC Championships.
Jillian Sydnor, a freshman, posted the region's fifth-fastest 400-meter time at 55.21 in the finals at the PSAC Championship. She finished as the race's runner-up.
Sydnor, her older sister Aubrey, Snell and Derkosh set a PSAC Championship record of 3:45.94 in winning the PSAC title. They won the race by more than three seconds, and the time ranked second in the region.
