Four Millersville swimmers named CSC Academic All-District®

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Leah Eckert, Jane McClelland, Jordan Plempel and Claire Weaver of the Millersville University women's swimming team have been named Academic All-District® by the College Sports Communiscators (CSC). 

Plempel and Weaver are now two-time Academic All-District honorees. To qualify, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have competed in five competitions or finished in the top eight at a conference meet. 

Eckert holds a 3.50 GPA in respiratory therapy and is the school record holder in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke in addition to three relays. Her best PSAC Championships finish came in the 100 breast where she finished 12th. 

McClelland has a 3.81 GPA as a mathematics major. McClelland swam the second-fastest 1,000-yard freestyle relay time in program history this season, finishing fifth in the event at the PSAC Championships. She also reached the podium in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a seventh-place finish. 

Plempel, an art education major with a 3.86 GPA, turned in one of the most productive senior seasons in program history. She scored top-eight finishes in three individual events at the PSAC Championships, and she was the runner-up in the 400-yard individual medley. Plempel is the school record holder in the 200 and 400 IM and four relay events. 

Weaver has a 3.99 GPA in early childhood education. Her 2024-25 season included the program's second-fastest 200-yard freestyle time, third-best 1,000 free time and a school record in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Her top finishes at the PSAC Championships included seventh in the 1,000 free, ninth in the 500 free and 10th in the 200-yard backstroke.
