Millersville goes on the road for non-conference matchup against Frostburg State

| By:
FROSTBURG, Md. --- Millersville women's basketball (1-1) returns to the court looking to build on two strong performances from this past weekend's CIAA/PSAC Conference Challenge against Frostburg State (1–1) in their last game of November.

Through two games, Millersville has relied on physicality, significant minutes from underclassmen, and crashing the boards to generate second-chance opportunities. The matchup sets the stage for a competitive early-season test as the Marauders aim to keep momentum moving in the right direction against a Frostburg State team that has shot efficiently and attacked the free-throw line at a high rate.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Millersville enters the contest averaging 68.5 PPG with a scoring margin of +3.5 through two games. The Marauders' defining statistical advantage has come courtesy of the glass, where they have dominated with a +9.0 rebounding margin against opponents with an average of 50.5 boards per game. The Marauders also defensively force 18 turnovers per game, coupled with 10 steals per game.

Frostburg State averages 69.0 PPG and is shooting an efficient 46.9% from the field. The Bobcats have also been strong from the free-throw line at 78.7% and boast a +7.5 rebounding margin of their own against opponents. Millersville's defensive pressure may prove to be a problem for the Bobcats, who have a -4.5 turnover margin and average 17.5 turnovers per game. Frostburg finds itself giving up 19.5 points off turnovers, whereas the Marauders average 15.5 points off turnovers.
