BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Millersville women's cross country team competed in the open 6K at Friday's Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. Bri Pollock led the Marauders by finishing 88th in a field of 442 runners.

The Paul Short Run event includes five women's races, and Millersville elected to run in the non-team-scored open, which also included the largest field of any race. The open included runners from all three NCAA divisions and highly competitive unattached runners. Pollock was the first Division II finisher to cross the finish line and finished sixth among non-Division I collegiate runners. She posted a time of 22:48.4 in her first 6K race of the season.

Freshman Kira Chebishev continued the impressive start to her Millersville career, running second on the team and placing 113th with a time of 23:04.1. Senior Olivia Sunderland posted a 23:28.7 for 156th. Emilia Alleman recorded a time of 23:45.7 and placed 188th, and Breia Mayes rounded out Millersville's top five in 218th place with a time of 24:05.4. A total of 18 Marauders competed in the race.

Millersville has one more tune-up before the Oct. 25 PSAC Championship. On Oct. 18, the Marauders run at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg.
