SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – No. 7 Millersville field hockey (7-6, 3-2 PSAC) fell 3-0 to No. 2 Shippensburg (12-1, 4-1 PSAC) on Tuesday evening at Robb Sports Complex. The loss marks the second consecutive defeat to the Raiders in as many weeks for the Marauders.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Shippensburg broke through late in the second quarter, scoring twice within a three-minute span. Elaina Fragassi netted the opening goal at just around the three minute mark remaining in the second, followed by Hannah White less than three minutes later and right before the half, assisted by Mckenna Boyle. Fragassi added her second of the night and sixth of the season just four minutes after the half time break, assisted by Lilly Cantabene, to extend the Raiders' lead to 3-0.Â
The Marauders were limited to just two total shots, while Shippensburg registered 23, including 16 on goal. Despite the heavy offensive pressure, Millersville goalkeeper Sarah Crysler posted a strong performance with 13Â saves, marking one of her highest totals of the season and highest of her career.Â

- What differences did you see in this game as opposed to the game against ship less than a week ago?Â
- "I don't think much difference I think we just sat back too much tonight and we needed to really challenge and stick with our game plan overall. Â I think the difference of the third and fourth quarter for us were much better than the first and the second we gave up too many corners in the first half and improved on that on the second. For us it's time to learn apply get better and move on."
