The teams traded points in a back-and-forth stretch until Bloomsburg broke away with a 5-0 scoring run. The Huskies responded with a 7-1 run of their own to cut the lead, but Welter swung the momentum back Millersville's way, scoring four unanswered points to regain a three-point advantage. Another four-point burst sealed the deal, as the Marauders pulled away to take the match away from Bloomsburg.
"Everyone feels good about getting that win today," said head coach
Brian Smith. "The team managed passing better today and limited those long runs. We didn't have to dig out of many holes except for that third set. Keeping sets close or enjoying some of our own runs was a welcoming change. It was also nice to see the alumni and a good crowd come out to support us. We appreciate the following and it means a lot to the program."

The Marauders' next match is Friday, Oct 17 at 5 p.m. when they host the Rams from Shepherd University for another PSAC East match-up.
