Stover, Cooper sweep PSAC weekly awards

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Drew Stover and Montell Cooper have swept the division's weekly awards after leading the Millersville men's basketball team to back-to-back PSAC East road wins. On Monday, Stover was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week, and Cooper was named the defensive athlete of the week for the second time.
It is Stover's second career PSAC East Athlete of the Week award and first in 2024-25. Cooper has been a frequent honoree as he was previously the division's athlete of the week on Jan. 7 and the defensive athlete of the week on Nov. 12.
Stover averaged 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 69.2% from the field. Stover totaled 23 points, three blocks, a steal and six boards at Mansfield and followed that performance with 20 points, nine rebounds and two assists in the win at Kutztown.
Cooper finished the week with three steals, three blocks and 11 rebounds. Millersville limited Mansfield to 57 points as Cooper recorded two steals and blocked a shot. In the win at Kutztown, Cooper grabbed six defensive rebounds, blocked two shots and recorded a steal.
Stover ranks seventh in the PSAC in scoring average (18.4), 12th in rebounding (7.1), fifth in blocks (1.6) and second in field goal percentage (.672). Cooper is tied for 11th in steals (1.7) and tied for 12th in blocks (0.9).
The Marauders host East Stroudsburg for a key PSAC East match-up on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
