BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — The Millersville men's tennis team's conference title push fell just short, as the Marauders lost in the championship match to Edinboro 4–0.
'Ville finished as the conference runner-up for the first time since 2007 after defeating Mercyhurst 4-2 in the semifinals to clinch a berth in the championship round. Unfortunately, the top-seeded Fighting Scots were too much to handle, keeping the Marauders off the scoresheet.
Dylan Tull and Zach Pernia came out on top in the first flight in doubles play with a 6-3 win, but Edinboro took the other matches to win the point. The Fighting Scots then won the first three decisions in singles play to clinch the championship.
The Marauders now wait to see their final seeding for the Atlantic Region during the NCAA Selection Show at 8 p.m. on Monday night.
