MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville men's tennis team played against PSAC rival Kutztown earlier on Saturday afternoon, coming out on top with a 5–2 win.
The Marauders won all three doubles matches to secure the early lead against the Golden Bears, starting with a 6–2 victory from
Dylan Tull and
Zach Pernia, followed by
Lino Morin and
Sebas Castro winning 6–4, and
Valentin Ebner and
Jasper de Koning completing the sweep with a 6–2 win.
In singles play, Tull and Pernia set the tone by winning the first two matches. Tull came away with a 7–5, 6–0 win, and Pernia pulled out a 6–0, 3–6, 6–3 win. To secure the victory, Ebner and de Koning each won their individual matches as well. Ebner won 6–2, 4–6, 6–3, and de Koning was victorious 6–4, 6–3.
The Marauders are now 6–6 overall and 1–2 against conference opponents, and are back in action at 1 p.m. tomorrow afternoon in Frostburg, Md. to take on Frostburg State.
