ABOUT THE GAME

  • The Millersville Marauders (2-3, 0-1) host the Bloomsburg Huskies (5-0, 1-0) Saturday at Biemesderfer Stadium in PSAC East action. Millersville has gone 0-3 in their last three games. Their most recent loss was to No. 4 East Stroudsburg. Bloomsburg is coming into this game hot, starting the season 5-0. Their most recent win came against PSAC East opponent Shepherd as the Huskies outscored the Rams, 15-8. 

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • The Marauders opened PSAC East play on the road against No.4 East Stroudsburg. They are seeking their first PSAC East win against the Huskies while maintaining. The Marauders have won four in a row over the Huskies.
  • Ashlyn Simonetti currently leads the Marauders in goals scored logging 10. Close behind her is Rachel Keeney with nine and Ella Linthicum with eight.
  • Linthicum, a critical part of the Marauders offense, leads the team in assists with six. Another selfless player in the Marauders' offense is Keeney who has five assists.
  • Morgan Scott has started every game in net thus far for Millersville. Scott has a 12.19 goals-against average along with a .444 save percentage. She has made 47 saves throughout five games and has 58 goals against.
  • After five games, the Marauders have an .800 shots on goal percentage with 25 shots per game. They are 11-19 on successful conversions of free position attempts with a 0.579 average. From a defensive standpoint, they have caused 41 turnovers, collected 98 ground balls, and have a .813 successful clear percentage.

  • The starting goalkeeper for Bloomsburg is Lauren Foley. In her 2023 season, she played in all 17 games with 17 starts as a sophomore. In the last five games, Foley has logged all 300 minutes and has 37 goals against with a 7.47 goal-against average. Foley has saved 46 shots with a 0.554 save percentage.
  • As a team, they average 14.2 goals a game with a .721 shot-on-goal percentage. They have soccer 71 goals on the season thus far and keep their opponents to 37 goals. The Huskies rely heavily on assists as 40 of their 71 goals have been assisted. They average 30.8 shots per game while keeping opponents to 25.8.
