MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Marauders halted a four-match skid with a 5–2 win over Jefferson on Saturday afternoon at McComsey Tennis Courts.
In doubles play, the Millersville was able to win the second and third matches after losing the first one in close fashion.
Chloe Abramowitz and
Sido Rault continued to have success as a pair in the second slot, winning 6–4, and
Sophie Lanius and
Lauren Hayes also came away with another win, taking their match 6–1.
In singles play,
Hui Jen Soo got the first win for the Marauders, as she took her match 4–2 after her opponent retired. Rault and Hayes both coasted through their matches, as Rault won 6–3, 6–0, and Hayes won 6–0, 6–2. In the last match of the day, Lanius came away with a 6–4, 6–2 win.
The Marauders are now 4–5 this season and will look to start stringing wins together, as they will travel to play Chestnut Hill at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 in Philadelphia, Pa.
