ABOUT THE GAME

  • The Millersville Marauders (1-0, 0-0) host the Holy Family Tigers (0-2, 0-0) looking to secure their first home win on the season. Millersville took a14-4 win over Jefferson in the season opener. Holy Family's most recent loss was against Bloomsburg, 20-4. 

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • The Marauders won their season opener on the road against Jefferson and handed the Rams their second loss of the season. Ashlyn Simonetti and Rachel Keeney both netted four goals a piece while having five total assists combined. Goalkeeper, Morgan Scott, saved 14 shots while only letting four goals past her. Scott also tallied the most ground balls on the day with six.
  • After one game, the Marauders average an .885 shots on goal percentage with 26 shots per game. From a defensive standpoint, they caused 11 turnovers, collected 19 grounds balls, and have a .880 successful clear percentage.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS

  • The Tigers may be 0-2 but Maura Kilkenny and Tori Wolstenholme are the offensive presence for this team. Both Kilkenny and Wolsetnholme scored a hat trick against Shippensburg in their 17-7 loss. Wolsetnholme also went 2 for 2 on her free position shots. In their 20-4 loss to Bloomsburg, Kilkenny netted two goals while Wolsetnholme scored her goal off a free position.
  • Olivia Kenya, as a freshman, is the starting goalkeeper for the Tigers. In two games has let up 37 goals with an 18.50 goals against average. Kenya has 19 saves on the season, but her overall record is 0-2 in net.
  • As a team, they average 5.5 goals a game with a .674 shot on goal percentage. Four of their goals have come from free position shots. Defensively, they log 37 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers, and have a .581 successful clear percentage.
