Marauders debut in D2CSC Atlantic Region Poll

CONCORD, W.Va. - Following two impressive wins to start the season, the Millersville men's basketball team debuted in the D2CSC Atlantic Region Poll at No. 8.
The Marauders received votes in the preseason poll, but cracked the top 10 after a 19-point win over Claflin in the season opener and a 23-point victory over Point Park on Sunday. West Liberty (No. 1) and California (No. 2) were the only teams to keep their positions in the regular season's first poll. Virginia Union (No. 5) and Clarion (No. 10) also moved into the top 10 after being unranked in the preseason poll.
Millersville defeated teams that combined for 47 victories in 2023-24, averaging 92 points per game and shooting 55.3% from the field while holding its opponents to 40.3% shooting.
Millersville has a challenging two-week stretch ahead with four of five games on the road. The stretch includes a game at Jefferson, which went 23-9 last season and back-to-back games at California and Slippery Rock.
The D2CSC poll is voted on by a committee of the region's college sports communicators. D2CSC also releases a national poll each week.
