HOW IT HAPPENED
- It took Millersville nearly 10 minutes to breakthrough, but the first goal from Bri Harsh on a Qhayiya Nogoduka assist started an offensive avalanche. Gianna Cugino scored on a pass from Codi Bollinger two minutes into the second quarter, and Emma Ruley scored just under six minutes later. Millersville's third goal of the quarter came with 3:45 remaining on Caitlin Wasserman's strike.
- After assisting on a goal in the first half, Bollinger scored a goal of her own 10 minutes into the third quarter, scoring a penalty corner.
POSTGAME REACTION FROM COACH SHELLY BEHRENS
- Overall thoughts: "I thought from the very start we were the aggressor. I liked that. That was a good lead off of last Tuesday. We got some corners, and I loved the finishing. Lots of positives."
- Thoughts on the offensive production: "We did a lot of different things from the corners to the field. When you have a balance like that, that is always encouraging. For them to see the results is important. They work hard all the time and to be so close the finally get results is a positive. Another positive is that we got some kids in the game that we haven't seen much, and they really did a nice job."
