Marauders look to get back in the win column Wednesday against West Chester

ABOUT THE MATCH

  • The Millersville Marauders are set to host the Golden Rams of West Chester Wednesday evening at Pucillo Field. The Marauders are eager to find themselves back in the win column after their tie with PSAC East opponent, East Stroudsburg, this past Saturday.

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • The Marauders have been dominant since the start of the season. They remain undefeated through seven matches with just two ties against Holy Family and ESU.
  • The Millersville offense has generated 15 goals while only allowing five.
  • The Marauders have posted three shutouts in a row and have allowed just one goal in the last five games. The Marauders haver surrendered just one goal in the last 450 minutes of action, and that goal was an own goal at Shippensburg. 
  • Since making his first start of the season on Sept. 9, Travis Holiday has posted four shutouts in five games, totaling 16 saves. 
  • Roy Parkyn has four points in the last three games, recording a goal against Lock Haven and two assists against Wilmington. 
  • The Marauders are currently holding the first-place spot in the PSAC East with an overall record of 5-0-2 and a conference record of 2-0-1.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN RAMS 

  • West Chester has an overall record of 5-2-1 on the season and is 2-1 in PSAC East play.
  • Last season, the Golden Rams edged out the Marauders for the third-place finish in the PSAC East with a 7-3-2 record in conference.
  • Redshirt senior Andrew Markopoulos leads the Golden Rams with four goals. Frankie Taylor and Maksym Komperda follow behind with two each. o

  • The Marauders currently lead the series 11-10-5. Millersville is 3-2-2 against West Chester since 2019. Nine of the last 10 games have been decided by one goal or ended in a tie. Five of the last eight have ended in a tie or went into overtime.
