MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Marauders lost a heartbreaker in overtime to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), falling 2–1. Millersville is now 4–2 and 0–1 against conference opponents.

Millersville's lone goal came early in the game as
Codi Bollinger had the ball outside the arc and along the sideline and sent a pass towards the net that

Qhayiya Nogoduka also had a sequence in overtime off a corner where they each had close shots on goal stuffed before another corner was called.
The Crimson Hawks got their tying goal early in the fourth quarter off a corner.
Kerstin Koons stopped two shots from IUP, but the rebound from the second save trickled to the left and Davidson was in the right place and buried it.
The Marauders play Shippensburg at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26 in Shippensburg, Pa.

POSTGAME REACTION FROM HEAD COACH SHELLY BEHRENS
Initial thoughts on the game: "We're definitely disappointed. I thought the second half was a lot more positive, us playing Millersville field hockey. The first two quarters, we were not as happy with it all. We played a good game in parts for sure, we just needed to be a little bit more consistent. We kept giving up I think too many chances and it came back to bite us. I thought we had a lot of great chances in the third and fourth quarter and especially in the extra period we had chances to finish the game and it just didn't go our way today."
On emotions throughout the game: "It had nothing to do with it being a PSAC game for me. I thought it was a bit physical, I think I would have loved to see us handle some things better. But my thing with the kids is, let's learn. What can we learn from today to help us be better? So that's where we are. Everybody wants to win, but we have to learn."
Takeaways from the game: "Credit to IUP, they stuck with it and then they found a way to finish. For us, now we just have to play and stick with our game plan, do the things we do well and find a way to finish. We have the 24-hour rule in effect for us and we're going to be better next time out.
