Marauders welcome Wilmington Wildcats to Pucillo Field

ABOUT THE MATCH

The undefeated Millersville Marauders shift gears from conference play to host the Wilmington Wildcats Tuesday night. Millersville is coming off a 3-0 win against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opponent Lock Haven. The team hopes to translate the offense and energy from this match into their upcoming competition.
The two teams have faced off 12 times since their first matchup in 2006. The Wildcats have not been to Pucillo Field since 2021 when an overtime game went in their favor due to a late goal in the 98th minute of play.

The Wildcats are 1-2-2 on the season with an 0-1 record in conference. So far this season, Wilmington has produced six goals, while out-shooting opponents 94-17.
At the start of this season, Wilmington was voted second in the CACC preseason poll ranking behind last year's first place finisher, Post University.
Last season Wilmington finished 7-2-3 in conference, placing it fourth in the CACC. In tournament play, the team reached the semifinal match against Post University, where they suffered a 3-2 loss.
The Wildcat offense is led by graduate student Jeremie Briquet who has two goals on the season. Several sophomores and juniors rank behind him with one goal each.

Millersville's offense has been a powerhouse so far this season. The Marauders have scored 13 goals in five games while only allowing five. They average almost three goals per game and have generated 80 shots total.
In their game against Lock Haven, Michael Dempsey, Ricky Valverde, and Roy Parkyn picked up their first goals of the season. Nine Marauders have found the back of the net so far this season.
The Marauders have scored 21 goals against Wilmington since 2006 with their highest victory margin being a 3-1 win in 2010. This victory was the most recent win for the Marauders in the series.
