'Ville cheerleaders place second in team competition

SCRANTON, Pa. - The Millersville University cheerleading team traveled to the University of Scranton for UCA College Camp recently where they prepared for the upcoming season and the team's first ever season as a competitive team.

Millersville competed in the Open All Girl Division against several teams that will also compete at the national competition and teams that placed in the top 10 at the national event in 2022-23. The final day of camp included a gameday performance competition with Millersville taking second place overall, second place in the timeout category and third place in sideline performance. Millersville's competition included Rowan University, Southern Connecticut State, The College of New Jersey, Widener University and King's College.

The Millersville cheer team is looking forward to bringing home new material and getting ready for Millersville gamedays.
