'Ville women's tennis stays unbeaten in division play

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team continued to take care of business against PSAC East opponents Sunday with a 7-0 home win over Lock Haven.

Lock Haven had entered the match with a 5-1 record and a 1-0 mark in PSAC East play, but the Marauders put one in the Bald Eagles' loss column in convincing fashion, improving themselves to 3-0 in division play. It was Millersville's first shutout win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Marauders, even without No. 2 Maria Ojeda, easily handled the Bald Eagles, blanking opponents in seven of the 12 singles sets played. Noelle Htwar in the No. 1 flight and Chloe Abramowitz in the No. 3 spot were particularly impressive as both won by 6-0, 6-0 scores. In the No. 6 spot, Kaitlyn Then picked up her first non-forfeit win of the season. Abramowitz won her fourth-straight match.
• Millersville picked up the doubles point with three 6-2 victories. Hui Jen Soo and Htwar won for the fourth time in six matches. Abramowitz and Sophie Lanius paired for the first time and won in the No. 2 flight. McComas and Then also won in their first match teaming together.
