KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team rolled to a 7-0 win over Kutztown Wednesday, improving to 5-1 in the PSAC East and securing a No. 2 seed in the PSAC Tournament.
Millersville earned its ninth consecutive win and second consecutive shutout over Kutztown. Millersville is now 6-8 overall, having won five of its last seven. It was the second 7-0 win for Millersville this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The No. 1 team of
Noelle Htwar and
Hui Jen Soo and the No. 2 pairing of
Maria Ojeda and
Chloe Abramowitz both earned 6-0 wins to clinch the doubles point. Singles was a similar story as the Marauders took all six matches and did so in straight sets. No Marauder surrendered more than three games in any set. Soo and Abramowitz both won by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
• Abramowitz won her seventh-straight singles and seven-straight doubles match. Soo picked up her fourth consecutive singles win.
UP NEXT
• Millersville has three regular season matches remaining, two of which are non-conference. Millersville hosts Mercyhurst on Friday, April 14 and then plays Frostburg State on Sunday, April 16 at home.
