MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis stepped out of conference play Thursday at McComsey Tennis Courts and dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Goldey-Beacom.
Millersville's record dropped to 3-7 with the loss while Goldey-Beacom improved to 4-7. Millersville had won three of its previous four before Thursday's match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Millersville received two points in singles action from No. 1
Noelle Htwar and No. 4
Chloe Abramowitz. Htwar snapped a three-match skid with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Elizabeth Mova. Abramowitz won a barn burner that went to three sets and required a tiebreaker. Abamowitz bounced back from a first set defeat to win, 6-7 (1-7), 7-5, 10-8. Goldey-Beacom's Zehra Canbaz scored a key win in the No. 2 slot, edging
Maria Ojeda in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3.
• The Lightning won two of the three doubles matches, but Ojeda and Abramowitz won their third-straight match, 7-5.

• Originally scheduled to host Lock Haven on Saturday, Millersville will now play the Bald Eagles on Sunday, April 2.
