MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Head coach
Jen Probst picked up her 300th career-win on Sunday at Seaber Softball Stadium following Millersville's dominate 8-2 victory over Mansfield in game one of the scheduled doubleheader. The Marauders followed with another convincing victory in game two, 14-6.

"There's a lot of memories in those 300 wins," said Probst. "Loved being able to be on our home field with a great team and fans."

Probst started her collegiate coaching career at Miserciordia University in Dallas, Pa. where she recorded her first 150 wins. She moved to Millersville in 2016 and has now won 151 games with the Black and Gold.

Millersville improves to 13-11 overall and 2-2 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East play. Mansfield falls to 9-7 overall and 0-4 in PSAC East play.
GAME ONE
- Each team scored a first-inning run to start the day -- the Marauders' run came off a Gabi Turner RBI single that scored former Mansfield standout, Lacey O'Donnell.
- Millersville would extend its lead in the second to four following three singles and a Gabby D'Ottavio two-run homer. Kendra Bumgardner and Aleese Angelo recorded the other two RBI's.
- Bumgardner tacked on another RBI in the fourth after grounding out to second and scoring Bryn Spoerl.
- Victoria Fuss added to the Marauder lead in the fifth with a two-RBI double to deep center.
- Mansfield scored one run in the sixth, resulting in the 8-2 final.
- Alex Schaefer continued her success in the circle, throwing five innings, striking out eight batters and refusing to walk one. The junior allowed four hits and one run while improving to 9-5 this season.
GAME TWO
- Both teams began the game with a three-run first inning. The Mounties' lead-off hitter reached on an error and was followed by two doubles and a single.
- Millersville's strong inning started with an RBI single from Sami Fried and continued with an Aleese Angelo walk. D'Ottavio continued her big day with an RBI single that scored Fried and sent Angelo to third. Angelo would score the second Marauder run on a wild pitch before Gabi Turner sent D'Ottavio home with a single to center.
- Millersville followed the first with an even stronger second, scoring four runs on three hits and two Mansfield errors. Angelo picked up two RBI's, while Bumgardner and D'Ottavio each recorded one.
- Mansfield scored two additional runs in the sixth inning to cut the Marauder lead to four.
- Each team scored a run in the fourth inning, which brought the score to 8-4 heading into the fifth. Bumgardner scored Fried with a double to left center.
- Millersville added to its already four-run lead in the fifth as Fried doubled to score both O'Donnell and Fuss.
- Turner extended the Marauder lead to seven (13-6) in the sixth inning with a three-run homer which added to her team-lead of five.
- Fuss provided fireworks in the sixth with a walk-off, RBI double to give the Marauders a 14-6 mercy rule victory.
- Alex Schaefer earned her second win of the day in the circle after throwing five innings, allowing three runs and striking out four Mountie batters. She improves to 10-5 in 2023.

- "It was nice to see our offense pick up," said Probst. "Mansfield put a lot of balls in play and the defense and pitchers rose to the occasion."
