ABOUT THE MATCH

Millersville wrestling takes it season-opening match-up with York outside to Cooper Park on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. The last meeting between the teams was in the 2021-22 season when Millersville prevailed over York, 27-17. Devin Flannery, Josh Tuckey, and Bishop McCoy all wrestled for Millersville against York in that match-up and won. Flannery and McCoy scored technical falls, and Tuckey earned a major decision.

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

The Marauders have nine returning starters this 2023-24 season.
Millersville was ranked 23rd in the NWCA Division II Men's Coaches Poll.
Three Marauders are nationally ranked as well. Flannery (133) is ranked No. 3, Craig Cook (149) is ranked No. 11, and Anthony Giampietro (184) is ranked No. 10.
Last season, Flannery and Brandon Connor (165) were named All-PSAC Second Team while Cook was named to the All-PSAC Third Team.
The Marauders finished out last season with a 10-7 overall record, marking the most dual wins since 2001-02.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

The Spartans have five returning starters from last season. They lost several key starters in Camden Farrow (197), Jared Kuhns (125), and Dalton Rohrbaugh (133).
Among the Spartans top performers are Jared Bair (157) with a career record of 50-18 and Jared Townsend, who owns a career record of 31-16.
The Spartans finished their 2022-23 season with a 5-10 overall record.

The Marauders have won 10 of the last 15 duals against the Spartans. The teams, however, have wrestled just once in the last 10 years. York won three-straight meetings from 2011-13.
