Marauders look to keep offense flowing Saturday against Dominican

ABOUT THE GAME

  • Millersville is coming off its highest scoring season-opening game in program history, as the Marauders put up 22 goals in their 17-goal victory over Holy Family earlier this week. The group will look to build on the strong performance heading in to Saturday's matchup against the visiting Dominican Chargers. 

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

  • Kristi Kada leads the Marauders in points after the team's big offensive day, recording seven off five goals and two assists. Amanda Juliano follows her with six total points off five goals and one assist. 
  •  Kada also took the most shots and shots on goal to start the season off. The junior fired nine shots, with eight of them landing on frame. Juliano was right behind her with seven total shots, six on goal. 
  • Gillian Zimmerman, Alexa Efron, and Ashlyn Simonetti all dished out a team-high two assists along with Kada.
  • Kada, Charlotte Lasak, and Taiyana Goldborough all recorded a team-high three ground balls in the victory over Holy Family. 
  • Grace Coubaugh led the group in draw controls with six; the midfielder also caused two turnovers. 

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS

  • The Chargers are led by a young group of players on the offensive end of the field, as their top-eight point scorers this season are freshman. Erica Ortiz leads that group with eight points on the season, coming from three goals and a team-high five assists. Ortiz is joined by Grace DeStasio and Jordana Tomasetti, who both have recorded five points this season.Goalkeeper, Krisinamarie Kaszovitz has played in both games for the Chargers, allowing 14 goals, while stopping 10 shots.
