MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team started PSAC East play Saturday at McComsey Tennis Courts with a 4-0 victory over visiting Bloomsburg.
The win pushed Millersville above .500 to 6-5 overall while Bloomsburg dropped to 2-5. It was Millersville's third-straight win over Bloomsburg dating back to the spring of 2021. Saturday also marked Millersville's first home dual since Oct. 13, 2021.
Three singles matches were left unfinished as the match was set up as the first team to four points would be the winner.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Millersville scored the match's first point with a sweep in doubles.
Julie Wallace and
Noelle Htwar (No. 1) and
Jasmine Morris and
Kelsey Heckert (No. 2) both won by 6-1 scores while
Maria Ojeda and
Chloe Abramowitz teamed for a 6-2 win in the No. 3 spot.
• In singles, Htwar scored a 6-4, 6-3 win over Lexi Quackenbush in the No. 3 slot. Heckert earned a 6-1, 6-4 win in the No. 5 spot, and Abramowitz topped Isabella Sarquis, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.

• The dual originally scheduled for Sunday, March 27 vs. Jefferson has been moved to April 3 at McComsey Tennis Courts. Millersville hosts Salem on March 30 at 2 p.m.
