MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team defeated Salem 5-2 Wednesday for its third-straight victory.
The Marauders improved to 7-5 with the win while Salem fell to 2-8. Millersville has outscored its last three opponents by a 15-3 margin.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• A short-handed Salem team, playing without a third doubles team and missing a player from its singles lineup was no match for the Marauders, who cruised in doubles and won three of the five contested singles matches.

Julie Wallace and
Noelle Htwar teamed for a 6-3 win in the No. 1 doubles spot, and
Maria Ojeda and
Chloe Abramowitz won by shutout, 6-0. Wallace and Htwar scored their team-best 10th win, and Ojeda and Abramowitz improved to 6-3.
• In singles, Salem took the matches in the No. 1 and No. 2 flights, but Millersville swept the remainder. Wallace (No. 3) and Abramowitz (No. 5) won by shutout, and
Kelsey Heckert nearly did as well, winning 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 4 flight.
